This L400 for sure won tpass Prov. inspection. unless there is a magic paper work inspector will do.
way too big on tire & lots of modification on the chassis. they dont like it this way. tendency of getting tip on th ehigh speed & corner, unless you only used it in the off road .

You're right... you can import trucks, and you can import lift kits, but don't try to do the 2 at the same time! (of course if you have the kit and put it on after inspection, nobody would bat an eye... especially in Alberta!)MardyDelica wrote:This L400 for sure won tpass Prov. inspection. unless there is a magic paper work inspector will do.

I was thinking that the bumpers alone would be an issue. That being said, there is a 4Runner/Hilux in the Victoria-area that is lifted sky-high and it's got plates on it. Came in early last year and it gets the ME all the time (I heard one of the mechanics owns it).

That red surf is Not owned by a mechanic, its owned by Jeremy at Hub Barton Insurance in colwood, his son drives it alot (phil) it has oversized tires for driving on the snow with a wider foot print up in the mountains, he actually seems to float on the snow when everyone else sinks its easier on the ground that any of the stock height vehicles. it has fender flares and , its also been inspected and passed by a motor vehicle inspector, not just a garage,
if lifted Delicas wont pass?, how are the two in my signature below legal and driving around with a stamp from Brian Kangas personally, he went over BOTH vans and said they are 100% legal with bumpers , lights, tires....
one is a 6inch lift and the other is 8inch lift.

Re: I hate wating. :(
it's not that lifted vehicles won't pass, it's that there are other considerations on lifted vehicles, extreme lifts often raise the bumpers and lights above the legal limits, so while one lift might be ok, a slightly larger lift won't be.
Other considerations are that the tires must have adequate fender flares and mud flaps.
The original delica posted in this thread has WAY more of a lift that the ones in your signature, and as such, would never pass an honest inspection.
