Went to Auto Value Parts (Bumper to Bumper) a couple weeks ago and they cross-referenced the baldwin bf7534 fuel filter to GKI GF1070 for $31.97.

KN oil filter HP 3001 does not fit on the 91 delica

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I have yet to fit the 3001 so can't say for sure it works. I crossed it over from the napa 1067. I chose the K&N because of it's quality, a moot point of course if the damn thing won't fit .

On the same topic there is a very good independant study on filters you can read. Type in "oil filter study"

What 's wrong with the fit on the K&N ? Is it an interference issue? or a thread/gasket compatability problem ?

I only picked up my Van on Friday and haven't had time to do the oil service yet. Appologies if I've missinfromed anyone.

threads are a different size. also a flat gasket instead of Oring.

ordered a 1067. so hopefully that works.

has anyone actually changed one yet and if so what actually fit on. ?

I removed the japanese jobber oil filter and measured the threads . It looks like it's an m 22 x 1.25 ? Also noticed a square packing at the bottom of the outlet hole. Looks like a relatively sophisticated filter. This would explain the high cost.

did the 1067 have a packing in the hole?

I went and put my glasses on and measured again this time with a screw pitch guage its m 26x1.5

I offer a 12 month 20,000km warranty on all work carried out at my shop . In the quest to find the worlds cheapest parts for Delica`s has anyone stopped to ask about warrantys ??? Who is going to pay for a new engine when that tensioner pulley assembled in outer mongolia falls to pieces ??? I have managed to get everything from Lordco or Napa off the shelf (with warranty) . The last hurdle is the water pump , which is currently being bought in by Lordco from a supplier in the US . (I know one member of this forum that will be pleased to see its arrival !!) . All parts I have found are new and not rebuilt have warranty and cost no more than parts for your average import family car !! . For those willing to spend time trying to find the cheap stuff - good luck . My labour rates are fairly resonable if and when the parts fail .

Hi, guy i heared many conversation about different brand of filter for mitsubishi delica cross reference to northamerica brand baldwin,napa, k&N & lordco brand. Work with delica for longtime in asia, all this filter is made in asia. most of them is the same. its just the quality,fram , Napa,Baldwin & other brand. mostly they order parts in asia & put there logo brand on it.
dont be confuse, there is no more northamerican made filters since our labor is expensive & not all asian made like taiwan & china filter is no good. they are also good almost the same as northamerican standard it just depends how much the company want to pay for the item. they improved dramatically about the quality couple of years ago. if the company want good quality they pay more & they got quality filter.simple word buy good pay good. as long as this filter has [b]ISO9002 & QS2000 certified or equivalent its good. also see the thickness of the filter & the filter inside if good that will do it. like fram filter this is mostly made in Korea. some filter is made in canada for local car but not imports like delica so its only made in offshore. so hope this will help other people dont get confuse. :)
