Also, once I shift from 4->2WD, I do not need to reverse to disengage my front hubs; they engage and disengage at a standstill going from 2WD to 4WD to 2WD (with unlocked centre diff).
So are manual hubs merely a simpler, more reliable, slightly more hassle incarnation of auto hubs? (no vacuum lines/solenoids to go bad, etc...)? Or is there something else I am missing? Thanks!
The L400s don't have auto hubs, they have flanges, these are always locked.

We are interested in this buy, but we still aren't sure if they are as good as the ones we had (Superwinch), other than the bolts being better. How do you want to do the payment?

Honestly, I have no idea. Haven't heard about this brand before. I just know this supplier is specialized in 4x4 accessories for JDM vehicles and that's the only brand he can provide.

They are really easy to install. You don't even need any special tools.

Is there any warranty or guarantee on the hubs? Superwinch had quite a reputation but I don't know these hubs.

Let's wait a little bit and see how many people are actually interested. Maybe we can get a better price.

I know guys have had their auto hubs disinigrate in the bush, but for a "schmoo" like myself that does not venture off road (daily driver paranoia) , is there a real need for the maual hubs?

If you don't go off road, the only advantage would be less wear and probably a little tiny bit better fuel economy, because the front wheels are completely disengaged.

Better fuel economy, less wear and tear on your front axle, and possibly quieter ride from less moving parts. That's what I've heard so far.

I am very happy to have the manual hubs and think they are the best option, and went to them from perma-locked flanges, but didn't notice any improvement in fuel economy...
