Mephisto,

Why don't you get yourself a SWB Safari? I think it would suit you way better... 8-)

Found a few more of my truck, I guess I'm not a picture person, all the pics of my truck are by someone else. Don't get me wrong, I love photography, I just don't seem to take commemorative pictures. I have a solid axle already put together for it, but I want a five speed, so I was waiting for that and I haven't bought one yet because I'm a broke student. I'm thinkin I'll be forced to buy one now and since I have new front and rear axles to put in the one I'm building I'll donate the stock ones to my broken auto paj. I think it will like the lower ratios from the five speed diffs anyways, that is as long as whoever buys it keeps the 35s on it..
As to the safari, as cool as I think they are, I seem to like the lighter more nimble rigs, I realize the paj is rather portly but it is still much lighter than the safari. I'll throw in a pic of one of my other trucks just to show you light, I'm interested to see if anyone knows what it is, without searching, lol. All I have to say is it has suzuki's first four stroke engine in it, a whopping 800cc.
Oh well, most of the pics I had to put up were copied from crackbook and it seems this site won't upload bmp photos so I can't post them. I'm sure I could convert them but I am too computer illiterate to accomplish such a task.

Thanks guys,

The essentials have always been clear to me, Im no stranger to trail repairs lol. I was just wondering if there is anything specific to our mitsubeasts that are prone to incident. Although you have reminded me to pick up some of my friend J.B to hopefully sit there never to be used.. Im also assuming that the ujoints are more prone to breakage with tires bigger than 33's, or do I have too much faith in the blue bear?

I was out last week, and 4 jeeps broke, two of them before hitting the trailhead :-P (I guess that was out of 20+ trucks, not too bad, but thanks chrysler!)

u-joints are the soft spot which is good as they are consumables.

The splined section of the axle shafts can shear under very extreme force but it's very very rare.

Tires under 33" are good. Anything above that and it does but additional force which rotating.

Great point. I don't plan on going larger than 33's at any time. A SAS would be nice though :)

Do you know if our drivetrains (Mainly diffs/axles/ujoints/shafts) are interchangeable with other brands? Or do I have to source mitsu specific parts?
