Intakes and most quality intercoolers are made from 5000. & 7000 series aluminum, they are corrosion resistant , also why kits used for aluminum boats , the ocean is a tad more corrosive than bug juice ... Brain box holders for ecu's are made from cheap crappy alum , the only purpose is slight dent /bang protection and aluminums amazing ability to pull heat from electronics , water methanol won't eat your intake or turbo, and unless you have blocked your egr , your intake and intercooler are allready coated in a nasty black oily sludgy film/ coating of unburnt diesel/exhaust nastiness , if most people knew what their. Intakes looked like , everyone would block the egr's , those who don't either don't know , or love to pay big mechanic bills and buy extra fuel.
