I sent them an email last week and got a reply:
"We're still alive, just lazy."
The van is on a container also on its way to Columbia. They are hoping to update their blog during their sail to Columbia.

I stayed at the exact same "El Reposo" hotel in Guatimala (looking towards the Esso!)
I was on a Moto though!
