Added roof rack from Maximum Overdrive. Went on easy without any complications or fitting issues. Oversized box will be on top.

JAOS copy DIY mud flaps. Added a plastic gutter/channel to keep mud/dirt from packing in between the flap and the body, eliminating rust build up.

It was more of a two day process, but finally Della has her spots! Almost ready for our cross Canada tour this summer! Coast to coast! If anyone is interested we should meet up along the way. I will post more details of stops and times once we have them finalized in mid April. We also have a web site and tour blog! check it out at http://www.Cathats.ca

My name is Aaron by the way! I am happy to be a part of the Cool Kid's Delica Club!

Peace

P.S.

As you can see in the rear angle photo of Della Cat, I am missing the panel under the Driver's side rear light. Does anyone have one I can buy from them? Della is a bit embarrassed and is feeling rather incomplete.

Awesome van! Did you do the paint job yourself? What did the 2 day procedure consist of? Welcome to the forum! Perhaps you would consider creating a build thread!?

Jesse- what did you build the bracket to hold the back mud flappers out of? I have been planning this out for a week or two and need to fab up a bracket for back there.

just a strip of 3/4" aluminium with holes in it from home depot. found it in the plumbing section. used for hanging pipping.

Couple things to do:
1. Get the license plate on there. I'm going to attach it to the tube that the spare tire mounts onto.
2. Finish up trimming a little of the back side panels so they have a little relief on top of the bumper. Then I'm going to use some of the black trim that I used on my wheel flares to finish off the edge.

Here is the side shot showing the new ProComp Rock Crawlers rims too...still need to paint out the hubs and I have some black lugs coming tomorrow. I have 2 Rock Crawler part numbers that will work for the L400, at least with my 31"X10.5" tires.

I think if you have to drive a mini-van you might as well make it look a little bad ass! I think it does and I guess that is all that matters.

Thanks Jesse- I will go track some down.

DelicaMark- That thing looks kick ass! I applied the same mini-van reasoning to my wife....and anyone else that asks about it 8-) Let us know what you use to paint the hubs as I too have this on my project list. Nice work.

I just don't think I want to have to wait to upload all those photos again!

There are some really nice Delicas round these parts.

jfarsang Thank you! That picture is of one of our tote bags! Hand silk screened. We have Tees of the Delicat on the way! that silk screen image was designed for darker shirts so the tote bag image is actually inverted. Looks really great! I wear mine all the time! Delicat + Black tie dye!

Please buy one if you like them a lot! the money will help us out on our cross Canada tour starting in May! :-D

Wow love the spare tire holder and custom decal job. Neat stuff!

I installed a new steering boot, reindexed my torsion bars and greased all the yucky points underneath.

Topsides TLGF now has an electronic compass in place of the (stuck) inclinometer. Its wired off my clock and dash lights to power the 4 green leds behind the face. Nice to have something custom.

Fixed my broken OD switch tonight and I didn't have to cut the plastic shrink tube on the shifter. Yes folks there is another method out there!

The repair also uncovered a sticky shifter pivot. Have it a good cleaning, lubed with vaseline and now the Deli shifts into drive and park real smooth.

Exactly one year ago today I drove my van home from Vancouver. Several dollars and swears later and I still love it, just somedays more than others. :-)

This weekend I installed my K&N. Bigger than I thought, still smaller than a stock paper filter. Perfomance..... How do you measure performance on our beasts anyways. I can hear the turbo spool better now, but that is about it. I also washed my van and buffed the chrome bits with the many different polishes I recently purchased and it snowed 2 inches last night and made everything a huge muddy mess. Oh well, I now have an excuse to take it to the car wash again next weekend.
