My toyota land cruiser has arrived. Let the SAS Begin..
Well after I strip it off the truck, replace the drum brakes for disk, replace the seals and change the gearing. But like I say, it's 80% done with 80% to go.

Is the SAS in place now? Do you have an estimated time of completion? I assume we won't be seeing you at the November meet or is there a chance you'll be mobile by then? 4 runners are allowed too...as long as you don't park too close to the Deli's (maybe go and overshadow the Pajero's) :-D jk

There seems to be a complete lack of a vehicle in that image.

What's the timeframe on an engine? Also, what's an "nwe" engine?

Nope going with a simple carb. Stretch won`t need all the power of the fancy electronics, and there is so much less that can break when you`re out of `town`

The axles look in great shape, but will tear them down and have a good look.

I would go with a simple throttle body like a early Vortex...

You can keep a simple carb in the spares if you have issues. Injected motors run so great and you will need electronics unless going with POINTS :o

are you going to bolt all this under the delica Unibody? I would consider building a chassis with the axles, motor, etc mounted and lower the body on...adds a few hundred pounds but makes sense to me...

Toyota axles can handle mild v8...but you should up the u joints!!!

What transfer-case/transmission you going with?
