We have two special hero's on this team and both are goalies.

CORY SCHNEIDER SA 64 GA 2 SV% .969
ROBERTO LUONGO SA 64 GA 7 SV% .891

Luongo let in 5 between the first two games. The saves he made were elite. Pucks went in because he had zero defence. He kept the team alive on his shoulders and kept the score low instead of Kings 10 - Canucks - 0. Had the offence scored on Quick and the D showed up, the series points would be different.

Luongo gets too much hate from the sheep fanbase here. They just jump on the bandwagon when the team wins.

This is simply how it is:

Luongo in net : Team wins, Luongo got lucky
Luongo in net : Team looses, Luongo flops, had a nervous breakdown and sucks

Schneider in net : Team wins, Schneider is god
Schneider in net : Team looses, Schneider played his best but defence sucked

rinse and repeat for every season.

I hope he gets traded to TB, FL, TO or CB. He will be far more appreciated by the majority of fans than here in Vancouver.

Schneider is a young, healthy and composed person on/off the ice. He 'should' make for a great starter goalie. Not tested yet.

People soon forget that it was Luongo who enabled Vancouver to be year after year cup contenders.

The Stanley Cup is surrounded by numerous legends and traditions, the oldest of which is the celebratory drinking of champagne out of the cup by the winning team.
