L400 doesn’t start

Ok , so after I changed the fuel filter and primed it all up, I bled the remaining air out. She fired up right away. Kept running and I kept pumping the filter which seemed to work, except more fuel started leaking out of that tube below the filter. So I plugged the tube and all the bad symptoms went away. Turned her off and fired her up again just fine. I think I need a new fuel sensor that screws on from the bottom of the filter.

Excellent detective work, sounds like you've nailed it. Keep that drain hose plugged until your new parts arrive and safe travels.
