i did it... it aint so great.... i slid some thin nuts between the hinge and the door, and used longer bolts. the nuts are a little thinner than average, maybe 1/4"
the door, w/o the panel, still doesnt fully clear the tire. its "good enough" but the door doesnt shut properly and easily every time. and when i squeeze the door handle to open it, it lets go with a bang because its holding so tightly...

i gotta either get thinner spacers, or scrap the project.. hope just that i can get the spacers i used out of there!

*EDIT*

i discovered one can adjust the hook that the door latches on to, so i slid it out a little, it helped some. then i loosened the hinge off the door again and lifted the door a bit and then tightened the hinge back down. NOW it seems to work okay! lets see what happenes down the road a bit!
i also cut a section out of the upholstered panel... it actually looks pretty good

sorry no photos, but really once you get the interior door panel off, its all right before your eyes...

I brought in a handfull of the extended hinges for the L300, the only person on here that I can think of that has it mounted is "hovercraft Steve" if any of you know him here in Victoria, you should talk to him, its a great fit, not cheap, but its all properly made.

I took the plan to a few machine shops locally.

$380 (per hinge) would have been my cost in tooling up 1/2 a dozen. Nobody wanted to front that amount so I didn't go ahead.

Anyone can take the plans and go to any machine shop to get one made up.

There is no profit in selling them here. High cost to make. Not enough demand to break even.

Just do this, then no more hinge problems :-D (it will cost more than a hinge though)
