I typed turbo in to a google image search and found "about 35,200,000" results... the first one of which is:

Another great page it came up with was: http://www.streetracersonline.com/articles/turbo/ which explains how a turbo works and has a cut-away view

basically, from under the vehicle follow the exhaust pipe back toward the engine, the first thing you get to that is bigger than the exhaust pipe is the turbo.

also, what you see in that picture is mainly the exhaust manifold, I think his thumbs are on the end of the turbo, but you can't really see it in that picture.

Download " Delica_Engine_Manual.pdf (4D56 1991-1993) ". Section five has an exploded view of the turbocharger.

I see what looks like a hose missing though..but that's nothing.

I haven't looked at my van to compare because it's 12:35 am, but I think you might be missing something in the airbox, I didn't think you should be able to see the ground, I thought the airbox was sealed and has a one way valve to drain water out, I could be out to lunch though, up too late, need to sleep

You're out to lunch ;-)
The compartment isn't sealed, you're thinking of the air-filter housing, which has a drain valve on the bottom, not the whole compartment.

Chris if you want to see a picture the link in the Delica WIKI site shows the turbo @ the end of the Boost Rod.

Hello again >> I haven't yet made it to Glenn's to have the Bichi looked at.
Now that it's dry out, I can see that the leaking diesel is showing up on the passenger side. I have to investigate further, but what would be a main cause??

See my original post below.

Common leaks

Injection pump
Halfmoon gasket seal
jfarsang wrote:Could be a few things.

most common is the Injection Pump leaking because of the sulfur diesel here. Clean/Dry paper towel or rag and clean the under/sides of the IP until dry. Then start the Delica and run for a few mins. Run your finger around the sides and bottom to see if it's leaking. If it is, it's a rebuild. $$$

next is the halfmoon seal facing the rear (valve cover gasket). It's an inexpensive and easy fix. While doing that, look for pitting on the head and fill with silicone/gasket sealer if need be.

Or check the oil pump on the back of the alternator / the banjo bolt and the attached hoses/clamps. Either one may have come loose.

Yup...turns out it is the injector pump. It's gonna be costly, but i opted for the rebuilt, rather than a few seals replaced.. Hmmph.. oh well. She'll be better than new when done.. :)

I took 'er to Glenn in Coombs, so everything should be fab..

It turns out that I had these in my celphone, they are not the best but you might find them useful as to how the turbo looks like on the engine:
