In all fairness to all contributing to the posts for the positive and negative.
Using the rules to get around the rules is how our country works.
Think about it. Seriously.
Politics, grey areas.. it's how the rules actually come to be.
I say, do what you do. Rules may be made to help us
because of it. Don't always think that it will hurt us.
That's a half full thought process.

I'd love to bend rules to get one of those and make it into a camper/offroader.

nope, you're not bending them, you're breaking them.

yes, using the rules to get around the rules is normal, the problem is, Canadian rules are a heiarchy, and, unless you have found a constitutional rule that states otherwise (and I don't see "thou shalt import what you want" in the constitution), the highest law (Federal) states that you can't do this. If you have a different federal law that doesn't say you can't, the one that DOES say you can't takes precedence. if you have another federal law that specifically outlines that you can, then neither is really valid until it goes to court and they decide, and if you have a provincial law allowing it, it's irrelevant as the federal law supercedes it.

So no matter which way you look at it. you aren't using one rule to get around another, you are using your ignorance of the rules to break them, and everyone knows the line "ignorance of the law is not a defence"

Anyway, this is back to the same circular argument, I show laws you're breaking, you say you aren't with no other evidence to back up your side, you state that my proof is irrelevant, but don't say what makes it so. I randomly pick different proof, and we're back to the start. This won't change until either:
1) you post how you are doing it so I can post exactly which sections of the law you are breaking
2) you admit you are breaking the law and stop telling people you aren't. (I don't care which way it is being done if you will admit it's illegal)

So until you are willing to back up your side with more than "because I say so", you might as well stop "saying so"
I'm ready to provide proof the moment you are.

This forum is all about sharing how we do things, I could easilly tell everyone that I modified my Delica to do one thing or another, but it's not worth a thing if I refuse to share how. This isn't a site to brag about how much better you are than everyone else because you can do things that nobody else can. This is a site to share knowledge and ability, the posts that people are most excited about are the how-to posts, not the people telling everyone else that they are superior because nobody else can do what they can.

The reason for not exposing the method is to keep it legal. I started the thread to ask if it was possible to do legally, not if it was possible to do illegally. It is not about wanting to believe. I got the answer, in fact thanks to green1 I actually know how too.

there was an attempt to keep it constructive, once again green1 you have caused another thread to be closed.
