If your vehicles have gone through the OOP inspection and are road ready in Canada, then your prices are very competitive.

I agree with docsavage about the USD vs. CND, but it can work both ways.

Hypothetically, if I see a vehicle on that site for $5,000 CDN (after changing from USD) on monday and decided the following day that I would like to buy it. Then go to make the purchase to find out the JPY went up overnight and now that price if $5,800, that can be a difference of making or breaking a purchase.

Maybe it's just me and I'm old fashioned. But I have yet to see or hear about any vehicle dealer (new or used) that sets their vehicles prices based on a daily international exchange rate.

With that said, it's a good site and like I said above. If your cars are OOP inspected, then currently they're great prices.

I think that kei king has answered most of the questions to the best of his ability, and if he has to work in USD for shipping and such, I can see the advantage to him to leave the cost in USD and convert on the fly to CAD, who knows, that may be one of the reasons his prices are so low.

There is still one fairly major question from my initial response that remains unanswered, and I can't imagine anyone would feel comfortable buying a vehicle without an answer to it...
Does your cost include the following?
- Taxes?
- Compliant headlights?
- Side marker lights and reflectors?
- Daytime Running lights?
- Out Of Province inspection?
- Approved Tires?
- Any maintenance? (belts, fluids, etc?)
- Any other administrative or maintenance costs?
The initial post says "fees paid" but doesn't specify which ones...

I do have one other question though that I though of since. If someone was interested in one of your vehicles, would they be able to take it to an independant shop for a check of the mechanical condition before purchase? (assuming a landed vehicle of course)

I'm curious about this as well

If we are outside of BC, can we arrange for a local BC mechanic to look it over before we buy? (ie. could I have the Delica gods at CVI look at one before buying it for shipping to Alberta?)

I should also note that a thorough cleaning and an oil change is quite insufficient maintenance for a 15 year old vehicle, eve if it is in pristine condition, the minimum work that should be done on ALL of these vehicles is to change ALL fluids and belts (including the timing belt) beyond that the condition of the radiator must be checked before the vehicle hits the highway for the first time. (this is just the minimum, depending on what else can be seen, more may be required)

* Sorry, retail sales not available in the province of BC. We sell to dealers & resellers only in BC.
So does that mean 'direct to the public' that any person (non-dealer) outside of BC can purchase your vehicles ?

It's just within BC that you only sell to dealers ?

Hi Kei King -- welcome to this forum and thanks for letting us know about your service - glad to see some healthy debate in this thread!

I've moved this thread over to the "Other Importers" section (based on my understanding that Kei King is an importer, and not a Canadian Registered Dealer).

If my understanding is incorrect, please supply details, and I'll move it back.

Cheers, :-D
