Auto shifter stiff

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

I recommend one of you e-mail or PM Butch at CVI and ask him what lubricant he used. He had specific stuff and I can't remember the name.

There is a thread on the UK forum that shows the switch taken apart. That thread links to this thread, I figured I'd do the same. So here it is:

Hey Erebus, thanks for updates. Do you suggest this is something we should all be checking and lubing as regular maintenance, ie at our next deli-meet we all park one set of wheels on the curb and crawl under ... can one see the seal covering the end of that triangular thingy (is that the rooster comb?). See you soon??? Christine.

Ya, it wouldn't hurt. Especially since it so easy, you don't even really need to put wheel on curb.

Although it looks a lot like a rooster comb, I gather the one inside the transmission is the one that does all the work of shifting.

Hey, next time you are at CVI, ask Butch what lubricant he used. I keep forgetting to e-mail him.

As for "see you soon", don't know. School wipes out much of the year, I'm off for the summer only 'cause I'm not looking for work. But Lesley started a new job so can't take time off; and if I went west by myself I might end up dead!
