started prototyping an L400 console. Two cup holders, tissue box holder, and small trash - things every car should have.

My brake lights arrived today.. I did all 4 1157 bulbs and all 4 wedge in the rear mirror with CREE+SMD1010 LED's off ebay. WOW Uber better! So bright and hopefully safer for those night time low viz snow covered back end drives on the Coquihalla this winter. I also did the back up lights with the same but in white. Who needs proper back up lights when you have $12 CREE 1156 bulbs from ebay.

Sample pics.. my pictures are soon to come..

The Black Pearl is finally starting to look kinda like a ship again. Over the last two weeks i got the timing chaiin cover back on. new head gasket, new water pump, new ac compressor, new belts, got all the tigweld4u parts on, rewired the glow plugs, rebuilt the injectors, cleaned everything and painted the engine bay. i will finish putting the rads bsck in it today and the clean intercooler. I hope to flush all the coolants and give it a start this week. Thinking if it starts right up i might even smash a bottle of champaine on her for good luck.

Put up new turbo to intercooler stainless steel pipes I got on eBay. Go so excited. Look good. A bit of a power difference. Feels a big more responsive. Hear a really nice whistle when the Turbo kicks in. Seems like it added an extra 50 km to the tank. Only tested twice though so far.

I changed out the stop-light switch on the Miss Lil' Bitchi. Funny, it just happened on Wednesday, suddenly my brake lights would come on when I touched the brake pedal but then went out as I further depressed the pedal. I guess after twenty years of braking it decided to retire.

Last weekend we went up to Princeton, BC. On the way the left windshield washer (squirter) hose popped off. Several feeble attempts didn't work.

Today was spent ripping out part of the left side dash, glove box, heater and various other assembly pieces.

3.5 hours to get in and out of a 10 minute fix. So if you windshield squirter isn't working? Check the hose attachement and have fun if it has popped off.

No pictures but lots of swearing.

At least it is fixed now and won't come off again, very easily.

Most of the time when the sprayers stop working, (although not in this case) the line a line/nozzle is simply clogged from debris or sediment. A quick trip to Staples for a can of compressed air usually does the trick. Simply press the hose on the non-working nozzle, then depress and listen to the other sprayer. Give each one a blast...
You may want to remove the resevoir cap so it doesnt blast off during the process.

After reading a few posts about bad glow-plugs I changed mine yesterday. Yeah! A big difference.

What to do next???
