eastywesty has indicated he has no Rec site pictures so I will add another. At least he was able to find the site which was tricky as the Rec Sites @ Germenson Lake have be abandoned. I have indicated several are just west of Grande Prairie and he should get some pictures for next time.

The new site is in WMU 3-39 which is quite a large area. The site is one of several in the area with quite a common theme. Good luck and hopefully we don't need to wait for an Albertan to solve the location!

Is this new rec site in Alberta, or located along the Taweel forest service road?

WMU 3-39 IS in BC. Camp 2 Rd goes West out of Clearwater and can be used to reach several sites. You could reach the Taweel Lake Rd but it would be the looong way around. Note the clever clue in the initial description!

Kinda lost on what the common theme is, though from my visits in the area I just can eliminate a couple of lakes.

Still waiting for hint. :-D My past visits suggest Coldsaur Lake south rec site, a guess, but browsing the internet shows those rec sites have changed over the years with logging and such.

Always have liked fishing Coldsaur, 2 pound Rainbows all day if you hit it at the right time. Like Needa Lake, it is a favorite lake to troll around a peacock herl doc spratley.

Your on the right road but you will need to turn and as I said before - a common theme -- maybe names -- maybe nationality -- think pizza!!
Sorry for the late clues but it was just to nice out camping I didn't come back till today. Another Rec Site!!

When I saw the pic, it had to be off the fishing hwy. No other area looks quite like that. I fished Beartrap and lorenzo 10 yrs ago, along with a few that I can't remember now. There's a story about a nude me washing as a german female tourist walked into my campsite, but I digress.

So, you sly dog, your clues led me to Italia Lake. I'll wait on your reply before I look further.

Oh and by the way i did find Coldseaur lake, now stored in my memory bank and hilighted on my mapbook for next year. Ha ha

I just returned from a week away fishing, caught some nice triploids, 24" and 21" , lots of 15s, plus many smaller. The best ones were the one's that got away, they tried to rip the rod out of the rod holder.
Odd that one of the lakes had trout that bent my hooks but would only strike at the fixed rod while I figure 8'd the chronomid line on the other rod. 5 fish did that while a continuous line of fish swam under my pontoon boat at 37'.

I have a working computer, camera and pics of 6 lakes to keep you thinking. Each one has a great fish story as well.
talk to you soon.

To take the advantage away from the kamloops area I choose a lake much closer to home, area 2-8.
It's quite popular. Apologizes if it's not sized properly.

Hello Wayne. I re-sized your picture and I'll hold off guessing until next week.

I think it may be the only place where both a fish and a bikini have arrived at my boat at the same time.

Well Wayne it looks like you've stumped me. I can only find 2 Rec sites in 2-8 WMU and neither Kenyon Lake or Sayres Lake look like your picture. Sayres Lake does however look like a nice place to camp/fish. Will wait for BCDelica to tell us where it is or more clues.

Hello Wayne, I'm fairly certain it's the dock at Buntzen Lake.

You are so right! Buntzen Lake it is. A fish and a bikini eh! That might be quite a story.

Oh it's not that crazy of a story, had just bought a new 10 foot inflatable and went for a fish on Buntzen to try it and the new motor out. I was trolling by the beach (for fish really) and caught a small trout, and well landing it 2 young ladies swimming far from shore climbed on the boat for a rest and chat. Tough day.

Below is from WMU 5-2. I love this lake, visiting it many times over the last couple of decades. Also proof added that I fish this lake hard, another tough day. This July on the far corner, near the incoming stream, I was anchored and casting for 3 plus hours of the most productive fishing I've encountered in the area. Too many fish to count of different sizes, with a couple of big ones breaking me off right in easy viewing distance.
