Diesel isn't measured by octane, that's gasoline... Diesel's equivalent number is cetane and it tells you how easily and completely it will combust.

Thank-you Schwa, I couldn't think of the word "cetane", which is why I quoted the petrol equivalent. While we are on the topic, what do you think of Hawes Diesel Enhancer? I am getting better kilometreage and am happy with it but I would love to hear about your experiences in this matter... smiles.
