I would always get waves driving my L300, but now that I'm in an L400 I don't seem to get as many. At first I thought it was the 300 drivers being blind or just plain snobby, but now I tell myself that they are probably just jealous :-P :-D .

No offence intended, but a 400 doesn't grab the eye the way a 300 does. Structurally speaking, a 400 looks like a Caravan with a lift kit. Of course, they're much MUCH more than that...they just don't look as unique as the 300's.

I still wave when I notice one though!

Here in Ottawa I don't get many wave. Mostly because I haven't seen a Delica yet!!! But trust me it's a shop stopper.

None taken, and I have to agree with you Elbrad, I do miss the uniqueness of my L300 (may she rest in peace) but I do like the MAJOR improvements done with the L400.

Not jealous nor envious - happy you love your new ride though :)

I don't anticipate a 400 in my future, but I suppose you never know...

I'll skip the 400 and get the D5 when it comes over (in addition to the 300). There are some cool features in the 400 but not enough for me to get past the minivan appearance. The D5 lifted though looks great and has way too many gizmos to pass up :-D

Alright... Just came back from a short trip on Van Island and after awhile, I started feeling pretty silly waving at any other L300 and other RHD... I could see the look on their faces going like "argh... Another one that is looking for a friend". So, I still wave but no head lights flashing and being all enthusiastic,d only if it's an L300. No really, I even got the "I don't see you" on Gabriola Island...

Still had an amazing time kayaking in telegraph Cove with killer whales, 100m from us!

I wave at Delicas from the Dodge Ram work truck. I have yet to ever get a wave back. :-)

I wave from my work truck as well. I've gotten one wave back and a lot of puzzled looks.

EDIT: I just waved at a white L300 about 5 seconds ago and they actually looked at me and then turned away as if to say "don't even try that on me"

I believe I waved at you the other day coming out of the Timmy's near Annacis Island . Since you were behind me it would have been my 4 way flashers doing 'The Wave'. lol :o :-D
