I don't think you can hook it up to the alarm system (I already have an alarm system with MP3 function) but the manual says you can hook it up to the reverse signal for the 'BEEP' sound when reversing.
I haven't tried the MP3 function on it yet as I have only just intalled it but I'll post some links to Youtube when I do so you can listen to the sound quality

Good call Falco! I would run away from anything that sounded like Yoko Ono, double time if its ""No, No, No"!
