Don't bother, the template I got wasn't even close. I decided to cut out the hole in the template and put it on the snorkel itself....nowhere near correct. Just made my own template from cardboard and will be doing some drilling and Modding this weekend.

Almost everyone got the snorkel now. How is it going with the install? Any photos?

Snorkel is mounted, air filter canister is moddified and everything plumbed in. Sorry I didn't take any pics during the install.
Of Note: EGT drop about 100*F on pyro (probe mountd in egr blank plate) @ 100kph under steady throttle 10psi boost. boost is cranked to reach 15 psi. although now after snorkel install I can only hit about 13 psi. I also run a K&N filter. Noticeable power increase at highway speeds, maybe some at lower speeds. You really hear the vacuum in the snorkel when under heavy boost.....sounds like the business end of a shop vac.
Still need to do some minor adjustments to overall fitment of modified air filter canister, then I will post pics of final fit.

snorkel is on the back burner for now.. im training for a winter glacier ascent of mt alfred in powell river area. the fabricator who helps with my mods is also going...

At first when I read this I saw "snorkel is on the back bumper" and I thought "wha?"

So I saw Meanman's van yesterday with the snorkel installed. Looked really good! Nice and close to the body...

Meanman, funny you can't reach 15psi anymore, with mine I can quite easily hit 17-20 psi...

that has been remedied....once I had modified the air filter housing to create a direct route to the snorkel. Must have been creating turbulence inside the intake with the long hose and circuitous routing. All good now!
David did ou still want the shock spacers back. I have them sitting at my work bench and just noticed them.
