Yeah, it has a dealer plate/garage policy. Trying to get additional insurance ( broke down, etc ) from ICBC, but no gain.
Very cautious while driving for accident..
I am gonna get a personal plate this year to drive tough to Alaska...
Not much delica photos on the road , so I feel sorry if I post it on member's trip.
Dawoong ( our cat ) was a lord, and everybody was watching our delica with curiosity and like to talk about delica with taking pics.

Nice pictures.
Was anyone surfing at Fort Point? That's the last place I dipped into the ocean before I left the US a few years ago.

If you see the first pic closely , there are about 7-10 surfers (1 guy behind the large Rock and some all the way around bridge post ).
At my first thought, too dangereous as tough tide/rocks are everywhere.

My iphone is too small to see. Surfing there is not a 'enjoyable' experience. Had I not gone in the lineup with a known local, I would have gotten my ass handed to me plus the sharks swimming around is just odd. The island is much 'quieter' here.

Service standard is if a customer has a shop replace part 'A', the warranty goes with that part at time of failure and shop covers that part. A warranty on a problem and not a part. Never heard that before. I'll leave this thread at that.
We give our own shop warranty ( not Lubrico warranty ) for stock vehicle purchase if it is sold in Metro Vancouver area.
And it covers pretty much all issues even if warranty is limited to powertrain.
As for the Fred's case, he is our repair customer.
Warranty is limited to parts and labour for a year based on the mutual agreement.
Happy New Year!

Steven, "We give our own shop warranty ( not Lubrico warranty ) for stock vehicle purchase if it is sold in Metro Vancouver area" does it mean that I have no warranty because I live outside of Vancouver?

Hi Claude,
We have diverse warranty program for the stock delica/other diesel jdm vehicle buyers, based on customer’s location.
It covers basically powertrain ( 1 year/12,000km whichever comes first ).
We don’t like Lubrico Warranty, but no choice but to take it currently.
1. Metro Vancouver
a. Our shop basic warranty ( no extra charge )_ includes parts and labour coverage up to $1,000 per each claim.
b. Our shop gold warranty ( $500 charge )_ includes parts and labour coverage up to $1,500 per each claim.
2. Outside Metro Vancouver
-- 1year/12,000km Lubrico Warranty.
-- If the customer wants our shop warranty, he can get it by paying off towing fee involved.
** Detailed coverage items are shown to the customer at the time of purchase contract.**
We serviced your L400 ( You are covered by Lubrico warranty now. ) last time free of charge ( appro. Over $1,500 value ) as you are living in rural area with only population of 49 and no mechanic there and I felt sorry for your hassle.
It was possible to service better because you drove it to my shop in New Westminster with patience.

whoa ok so i just bought my van from you guys before christmas, so my warranty will be basically useless to me when i get my van back to Yellowknife. towing a van 3000kms is completely ridiculous. great. i guess i will be doing more digging through the fine print to find anything at all helpful.

You got a Lubrico warranty, exactly what ALL the dealers give. Most dealers can provide better service directly if you are local but when you are out of town Lubrico is as good as its going to get.

ah yeah i guess i have to hope nothing major goes wrong in the first year or so. most problems up here occur because of the cold, and that lubrico warranty doesnt warranty against freezing, so im kind of SOL anyhow, its all good. My jeep never had a warranty so i guess i really dont have a reason to get too worked up

Just said you have/had a great wonderful holiday!
I got no accident for the last 40 years, and have a class 1 driver license to drive safely with defensive driving during 10day's journey of 6100km in USA.
