Hi there.!!!!!!
My name is George and I am from Athens Hellas. I am a new owner of an old L300 4x4 mod '97.
I am new in this kind of car but I am old in extreme off-roading.
Most of all I need advises from experiensed L300ers like you to make my new toy better.
And...
please be polite with my English and my orthographical and syntactical errors.
I allow you to lol with my mistakes and please correct me.

Kalimera (good morning) to all

Welcome!

I'm in the process of modifying mine so I'm sure other will have more to add. Common modifications are:

- remove and block egr
- Install a larger exhaust system
- Skid plate + gopher guard
- New radiator and hoses (possibly new heat exchanger)
- Timing belt replace
- Change all fluids / oils and grease the machine up
- Adjust torsion bars for level ride
- check all components to make sure they're working correctly
- Seal the well known leaks
- repair roof (if cl model)
- Work out a solution for the dim headlights, unless yours don't have the same issues as out CSA approved ones)
- Lift kit - 2" max if you don't want complications
- Larger tires on wider rims
- Camperize if that's what you're looking to do with it
- Snorkel
- etc........................................................

There are a lot of modifications for these. I have been searching for about a year now and am still finding new things that I want to do.

I'm sure I've left many things out and hopefully other will be able to fill in the blanks. :-)

Enjoy your new ride...

Welcome and well met! I think you might be our first Greek. Our little forum is getting quite the international following.

Post a picture of your ride when you have a moment. We all like to look. :-D

Thank you all for the wellcome.!!!!
As I told you it is a '97 L300 with 2,4l in line petrol engine and 5speed manual gearbox.
Is different from Delica in front and I like much the Delicas headlights. Maybe I can change mine.
I plan to use it as a "car for all" and explain:
Every day use to work.
Traveling in country and mountains
70% tarmac 30% off road
Family, dog and gear
Mule and support for marathon rallies I race with quad

I am planning the foolowing mods
3" or 4" lift (2" from suspension and 1" or 2" body)
31" tyres
double shocks front and rear
front and rear winch maybe with bumpers
roof rack alu
AC
roof bar with 4 extra lights
semibucket seats
skids
LPG conversion
double batteries

No they are not. At least not in Europe. Very common over there.
