Hy
Yesterday we replaced our fusee bullets (balls) and steering bullets (balls) (not shure if this is the correct english word; iam from holland) and we replaced the front shocks. My friend removed a part of the axle (a ring) and we forgot to put it back and found out after we were done. So i was wondering where the ring is for and if its safe to drive it now in 2 wheel drive?
My 4x4 is still broken so maybe if its something only for 4wheel drive i can put it back when iam replacing the front diff.
Please some help from the experts on this
this is the part. Its about 4,5 cm diameter

It looks like the spacer that would go on the axle, between the CV joint and wheel bearings. Hope these are similar terms that you will understand, I don't think I would drive long term without this part, as you will cause wear on parts that you will probably not be changing when you replace the front diff. Hope this helps.

It's the spacer in between the spindle and the axle.

The beveled side faces the axle (towards center of the vehicle).

It is important to have installed otherwise your axle shaft will have a lot of play in it.
