Gear ratio

Gearing up for the SAS, does anyone know the gear ratio in the front pumkin?

gear ratio is on the plate under the drivers seat (front axles and first rear axle are from the low roof van right then they have the same gears). You should check the back axle gears as well.
If you pull the thirds out you can count the gears and do the math (they are also usually stamped on)

Looked at the plate, I didn't see anything show gear ratios,

It's there.
7: Differential (final drive) ratio
yours will be either 4.875 or 5.285
4.875 is most commonly found on automatic's while 5.285's are most commonly found on 5spd's

If you're swapping in a Toyo axle here's what I was using as a guideline when I considered it :

The most common is the 8" standard. It is used in the rear axle on '79-95 (96?) 4WD trucks and 4Runners, and 3/4 and 1 ton 2WD pickups, and it is also used in the front axle on 79-85 (solid beam) pickups and 4Runners.
The 8-inch Toyota axles are strong and utilize a third-member setup, much like the 9-inch Ford. This means the 'guts' of the axle can be easily removed for servicing or gear and differential carrier changes. It also means that its easy and fairly cheap to buy and ship third members from differential specialists
Toyota sometimes mistakenly coded trucks with 4 pinion
diffs with a "2" code. To verify if yours is a 2 or 4 pinion
diff, count the number of fins on each side of the diff. A 4
pinion diff will have 4 fins on each side. A 2 pinion will
have 3 fins on each side.
All 1986-1987 turbo 22RE-T trucks/4Runners and 1988
through mid 1995 V-6 trucks should have a factory 4 pinion
diff.
You can get an exact match (4.875) Toyota diff. Here's the info you need :
Code : G144 or G142 or F144 or F142
F = 7.5" diff
G = 8" diff
14 = 4.875 ratio
4 = 4-pinion design open diff
2 = 2-pinion design open diff
With that gearing, you'll have an exact match to the mitsu rear diff.
You can probably find a complete solid axle with 4.88's for around 500-700.
