Heya every1 :-D ,
I seen a delica workn in north van and had to have 1. Im a carpenter and this will make the ultimate work truck, or at least i hope so. I went down to japanoid the other day and shogu is givin me some high prices but since i just started negotiations im sure i can bet a better price (quoted 12k  ).
I havent seen a delica for over 11k so im hopin he can do better. Anyways ill keep every1 informed of my journey to buy a delica goes. If there are other dealers around the lower mainland and some good places to get them repaired If the day should come :-) .

Hi, Welcome.

I got my Delica at Silk Road in surrey ( http://www.silkroadautos.com/ ). Karim is an honest fellow, no pressure and he's good about fixing stuff that comes up after the sale. He's not very organized but his prices are pretty reasonable.

I hardly know of any delicas for less than 11k now. I know japanoid is very reasonable... and as far as prices go. Delicas are getting a lot more expensive.I know of someone that has bought one for $15,000 and have seen them posted for as high as $19,000... (also you get what you pay for... is the timing belt done? water pump? balancing belts... those things add up. I had to do all those on mine after I bought it).

I found one for sale in Vancouver... Note that I don't have anything to do with it. I just found it on kijiji (Calgary)... Not sure why the guy posted his ad in Calgary.

Anyway, I hope this is useful for you...

So far i have also tried silk road and Jdm imports.
The silk road guy is exactly as posted above kinda unorganized but seemed honest and he said the have thier own shop but i didnt see it.
I also went to JDM imports on anasis island. The owner there is a Kiwi seemed very honsest but doesnt take trade ins. :-(

JDM Wholesale on Annacis Island is where I got my Delica, they're based in New Zealand, but they're really nice people and stand behind their product, I was quite impressed with them.

Hi Zyand,

You may want to give TKT a try in Richmond. I bought mine through them last week and am thoroughly impressed on the level of service so far. Hopefully I'll have it by Wednesday. To the best of my knowledge they still have 2 units still in stock.
Check out their posting here: http://www.delica.ca/forum/delicas-arri ... t-949.html

Welcome Zyand,

Having used a Deli as a work van i can tell you they have only one down side; you waste a lot of your work day answering questions about your van. Two best things about a Deli as a work vehicle are; getting out on the curb side and the high floor height which is more along the height of a full sized p/u bed. AND it's easier to obtain roof racks and other common roof mounted items on a low roof model.

Don't forget to do a trip to the Island, Parksville and Coombs are kinda like Delica central in Canada.
