Just wondering if anyone has looked into a hitch to fit a LWB L400. I have seen hitches for the SWB but none yet for the LWB.

And before anyone jumps on me to use the search function... I did, and only saw someone mention that E&H will do a custom hitch for the LWB.

E&H Burnaby (ask for Rick) do lots for the L400, and they loook great and work wonderfully. Rick prewelds the basic parts, then custom fits each deli, depending on each deli particulars (torsion bars, exhaust size, spare tire size) so any vehicle at all is simple for him to do. And his wiring work is excellent, I have not heard of anyone with melted wiring issues (and there have been a few melted but they were intalled by others). Do NOT get a cheaper bolt on model, I have not seen one I would use. What do you intend to tow, I have not heard of anyone doing serious towing on L400 (but TardisDeli and Mararmeisto and some others have towed boats and trailers etc). As with any towing, be really super careful on highway ramps and curves. Welcome to visit us and stay if you're coming to town. Cheers, Christine.

Thanks Christine,

I was hoping to get something local or prefab'd, E&H is a long drive to just have a hitch installed. I may end up building one on my own this Summer if there is not a standard template being produced. That, or if I can get just the basic framing for the hitch and modify/adjust the attachment brackets to fit my particular van... dunno, gonna have to call E&H I guess. I do like the idea of a fully custom hitch install, but that's what I'd be doing myself anyway.

Not looking to haul too much, utility trailer, the odd ski boat, etc...
