I am looking to use some very rare JDM rims (and no, they are NOT the Sakura Rims). They are 14 inch rims, like the stock L300 P04W (2WD) rims, but they are 4 lug instead of the Mitsubishi 5 (USA 2WD Spec 5 lug).

The pattern I am looking at is 4 X 114.3mm

I need to know if there is a Mitsubishi vehicle from North America (preferably USA) that I can take the front hubs and rear stub axles off of that has 4 lugs that would fit the 4 X 114.3mm pattern. Any ideas?

What are you referring to as 'Mitsubishi 5'?

The 4WD Mitsubishis here have 6 lugs, but I guess he is referring to the 2WD vehicles with 5 lugs.

I remember seeing 5 to 4 lug wheel adapter plates. Not sure how safe they are, but might be worth doing some research in this direction...

I would like to avoid using adapters if possible; I would think there would be something out there that I can use parts from.

I edited and made it clear. Yes, as was mentioned, it is a 2WD 5 lug model.

Thank you for the information. My problem is that the chart does not show if there are any models of truck with 4 lug and that have a rear with compatible stub axles.

I need to find a truck/car with a compatible rear axle. I maybe able to make the hubs from one of the 4 lug Mitsubishi cars would with the L300, but I am not certain.

I would assume it would have to be quite an old model. I haven't seen any newer vehicles, especially trucks with anything less than 5 bolts.

Does it have to be Mitsubishi? My 1990 Toyota Liteace Truck 2WD has 4x114.3mm bolt pattern...unlike most of the cars with this bolt pattern it is a 3/4 Ton truck and is beefy. Another easy to find and beefy vehicle with 4x114.3 are the 2WD Toyota LE Vans from the 80's (the 4wd models have a 5bolt).

It maybe possible to fit stub axles and hubs from a Toyota. Since this is a conversion, interchange guides would not help.

Does anyone know if the Toyota stub axles would work with the axle housing? What about the front hubs?

No to both questions and no to your first question up top. Different spline, different shaft diameter, different shaft length on the right side.

Simple. Your rims won't fit on your vehicle so you need different rims.

If I was going to consider other rims, I would just keep the plain steel rims.

There is always a way to make it work. There are a few options, including having the hubs and stub axle drilled for 4 lugs.

That there is.

Why don't you take your axles and hubs to a machinist and have them fab some new one's ? That would be the best route although possibly expensive depending on what your budget for the conversion is.

I want to see a pic of these rims. Must be pretty swank to go through the trouble.
