Reminds all WVO and biodiesel users that water removal is very important! May not have been the soul cause of his engine failure, but everybody should take a sample of there homebrewed fuel and put it on the stove top. Use a candy thermometer and see how long it sputters and spits just over 100c, the longer it takes the more water you have. That the reason I stopped using Chinese restaurant oil, smell so yummy running but was loaded with water, is it took too much electricity to remove the water.
Kev - pulled my glow plugs, valve cover and intake after 40,000 plus of veggie driving (awhile back!) and was given a clean bill of health by my mechanic. Reportly all was cleaner than excepted. Fingers crossed for the longer term though, ya I have saved enough for a another Delica, but.........

Thanks for the info Kev. I hear that the good Japanese restaurants are very good with very little processing needed for the oil both for WVO and biodiesel.
