I found lots of posts of L300 location. I found one post on the U.K. site mentioning a wire coming from the dash?

IIRC, the temp sensor is the little rubbery flap sticking downwards fron the lower centre of your steering column. Sometime this goes bad, but sometimes its wires get loose in the connector for the dashtop module where the temp is displayed.
