Marriott Peak Hike

I just spent this past weekend attempting to do the Marriott peak hike. We never made it up the right mountain but it was still a great trip. There was some pretty knarly off-roading to get to the trailhead (even a 4-runner refused to attempt it) but the Delica faired well. Unfortunately my camera was dead for the return trip and it was dark when we arrived so my friend has all of the cool offroading pictures.

Here is what I do have...

The last picture is while we were waiting for the brakes to cool down after they started smoking :-D

It definitely was a great trip! I may have done more Delica pictures coming from my friend too.

Even with an automatic transmission, it is better to gear down and let the engine do most of the braking on a long steep hill. You may end up going slower, but you won't burn out your brakes.

Wicked pictures, just the same.

I think he was supposed to be spotting for me, he definitely didn't throw up but he didn't give me any information either :-D
