L300 passenger swivel seat

After loads of emails/chatting between a hungarian L300 owner who modified an existing L300 passenger seat to swivel facing backwards, I'm close to getting the specs needed to build a swivel base that bolts underneath the L300 passenger seat.
the two downsides
- seat will be approx 3" inches taller than the drivers side
- when seat is rotated facing the back, the engine hump will block the occupants legs from touching the floor like in a common car seat.
looking to be about 3 weeks until I get a prototype built.
I don't have Turtle (L300) anymore so I'll need a volunteer L300 for a few days.

Hey,
Sounds pretty cool Jesse.I think that would limit
The passenger size possibilities with a low roof,
being a bigger driver/family.
I also like what Bruce aka Mystery Machine/Mud Monkey/
Zombie Crusher did back in his post.

sounds good. if I'm out that way, then I'll take some measurements. Is the seat out ? I need the engine firewall cover for measurements.

Hey Jesse,
I am out in Steveston now and you are more then welcome to take measurements off mine...
I can pull the seat no problem....
Arnold you scrapped the front half...you could just give Jesse the engine cover if you still have it?
Cheers

I've got the engine hump and a VW T4 plate to adapt onto it. 2 of the 4 bolts line up. the other 2 will need to be drilled out 1" to the left. Shouldn't be difficult. There's a lot of meat on the swivel plate.
