THE PROBLEM
I was installing my bypass oil filter this weekend and came across a disturbing conflict with between the upper rad hose and the intercooler fan shroud. Here is a picture of what it looks like: (sorry for the sketchty circle, I'm not a genius with tinypic)

Through engine vibration and swelling of the rad hose, this is what can result. Although it doesn't look that bad, this is more than half way through the hose and I will now be replacing it.

THE FIX
All you have to do is disconnect your intercooler and this is what the offending shroud will look like:

A quick handshake with a pair of tin snips and a file...

Then once reinstalled you will have plenty of clearance:

Hopefully this may help someone that has the same issue and doesn't know it. If you haven't checked your clearance on these two parts, I highly recommend that you do so before you have a blown rad hose.
If anyone finds the same issue, please let me know, thanks.
