Anyone know if a hard pipe kit is available for the 4M40?? I would love to get rid of those spongy boost hoses...

Neat site, thanks for the link. I am surprized there isn't more available. For that price I can get something made local, but the expansion take has caught my eye.....

made my own out of 1.5" and 2" copper pipe that i soldered toether with 45s and 90 deg fittings and a bit of pipe.... make the top one out on 1.5" pipe as the wiper arms WILL hit the top pipe unless you do it correctly.... mine made such a difference on acceleration as well with the K&N air filter..... just have to wait for exhaust 2.5-3" here we come....

I doubt it. If I had this link 6 month ago I would not pay $600+HST to fabricate stainless steel ones locally. However I am not sure what you mean by 'something'. Good luck! :M

It all depends on who you know, through my construction connections I usually expect to pay about 50% less for metal work than the average joe walking off the street. If you set up a business account with most company's you'll get about 30% off and if you become friends with the people there you will get even more.

Ya, I have a friend who is a licenced welder and he does some amazing things with aluminum. I'm sure he can fab something for that price.....We'll see!!!!!

FWIW, I'd look into reversing the direction of the airflow thru the intercooler. On an L400 I think it would make the number of bends and twists that the pipes have to take much fewer and less severe.

As far as I know (which ain't far! :-) ) the intercooler shouldn't care what direction the air is moving thru it.
