My steering has suddenly become very stiff and erratic in the amount of amount of 'help' provided by the power steering. before taking it in I would like to check the fluid levels myself to be sure. can anyone tell me where it is/looks like and what kind of fluid to use.
Thanks!

The reservoir is at the front right hand corner of the intercooler. Mine says Power Steering on the cap. The fluid is automatic transmission fluid DEXRON or DEXRON II. Chapter 37 of the shop manual has all of the service procedures. PM me if you need it. I can't find it in the delica download section.

It is like all other fluids in the L400, and difficult to read on the dipsticks. It may take a few times. Personal opinion.

If you are unaware of the last time it was bled and filled I would recommend you go that route and just get all new fluid bled and flushed. I don't know if you need to pressure feed it like brakes on the Deli though.
