L300 LED bulbs?

I don't know much about lights but I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly which LED bulbs are used to replace the ones in the L300. I know I could drive to a place today sells them, take mine out, compare and see which ones will work but working 7 days a week all the shops are closed by the time I would get around to doing this. To be clear, I want to replace my current bulbs with LED's. (tailights and all interior)
Thanks

JMK wrote:I bought a few dash replacements (about 5 I think) and 3 instrument replacements, on those I just went by what the guy in Australia told me were required for L300 Vans because I couldn't figure out an easy way to access the dash lights, I was going to ask about that here?

Here's the list of bulb types:
tail/Brake: 1157, 3 Watt Luxeon, max width of bulb head 26mm (do not use oversized LED, and thi is true for all the following 1156 bulbs)

Backup: 1156 (3 Watt Luxeon, 80 Lumens)

rear signal: 1156 (24-LED)

License plate lights (2) 67-X15

Rear Tailgate 'Delica strip': didn't do this one.

Front cornering signal: 1156 3 Watt Luxeon

Front Signals: 10mm 194 (push in) socket

City light module: as above
All the dome, map, and step interior lights, 10 in total: 31mm festoon bulbs (I used a number of different option for this including a PCB board for one overhead dome, and a couple of red 9 bulb festoons for 2 of the map lights). For the rest I use the 2 bulb hi flux lights that had the highest lumen count except for the PCB board which has 12 LED's and a festoon connector

Dash Lights: 3 T10 style (from third party information I was given)

Instruments: 20 T5 style bulbs (from third party information I was given)

For clearance lights I went with 7 High Flux amber for the front and 3 red for the rear

As noted in another thread, I already have 10mm 194 LED's in my front signal lights and I did not need to use a load resistor to make my flashers work properly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. If I do need one, I was wondering if you could just put a regular 1157 bulb inline as a temporary solution until you got a resistor.

This looks to be cheaper than superbright's selection. Any reason to go with one over the other?

Also, the vanwagon numbers are listed and some look the same whereas others look different.. Any thoughts on why this would be? Do they not use the same bulbs for every application?

Autolismo.com

I bought mine from him. Great for interior and don't let the sketchy pick up sale cash only thing scare you he is trustworthy. As for tail lights, I am not impressed with any I have found. They are not as bright and if they are, the difference between running and break is slight which proves dangerous to someone on your ass. If they don't really notice your tail lights becoming brighter when you break hard.... smash. I have 4 wedge style 9LED red bulbs for the upper window break light if you want them $30 for the lot OBO. I liked keeping mine incandescent because they were brighter than any LED I could find.

Cheers

I just ordered everything from superbright. I thought Autolismo's prices were cheaper but that's because I was comparing apples to oranges (or in this case 6W to 3W). The cash only thing didn't worry me as that's a common way of keeping costs down but I really didn't want to leave a deposit on the items that had to be ordered in, he also didn't have all the lights I was looking for. I'll check out the brake lights to see how they work, I might end up putting the incandescent's back in if the difference is minimal as you say. Thanks for the offer, I wish I'd seen that post before ordering.

No worries. They might work out for you really well, if so keep us posted.

Will do, I'm hoping they work out so I didn't spend all that money in vain. :-D

Even at superbright's discounted rates it's still quite expensive to outfit your entire rig.

Once duty is added on it appears that Lordco ight be cheaper tgan superbright. $49 in duty on a $210 order plus $16 to ship. :-(

:-( Uh oh you forget to check the duty free checkbox. Duty on LEDs is voluntary under NAFTA 103.7. Live and learn.

According to the staff at superbright I had to choose the $60 shipping option to avoid duty fees (I wasn't expecting duty to be that high) it ends up being roughly the same price I the end though.

I'm just effing with you anyway. 8-)

I hate brokerage and duty fees so I feel your pain. UPS brokerage fees are the worst.

I've been digging a ditch all day you could probably tell me Osama Bin Laden is alive and running to be president of the USA and I'd believe you. :-D

On the plus side, despite being expensive it was the only place I found that had every bulb I needed.

Does anyone know if the lights in the front door armrests use the same festoon bulbs as everything else?
