Front heater/blower motor stopped working

Got a call from sis. Front heater is not working = no driving in snowy whistler. iMac died and lost data on their HDD. Both babies are sick and bro in law is working. Decided to drop everything and head up to help out. My free weekend turned into an electrical circus but I got the easy end of the stick compared to her.
The 25A fuse blew a few weeks ago so I began there. Fuse checked okay so I went to the other end. Pulled the blower motor out, applied 12v's (blue wire!) and it's good. Put it back in and checked the connection at the motor. No power. Checked the relay behind the glovebox, no power. Applied 12v's and relay is good. Went up the line and ripped apart the dash. Checked all the connections at the switch thinking the circuit board where the resistors are soldered to blew. Checked for continuity and resistance, all good but still no power. Traced to fuse box under steering wheel and found the problem. When the fuse blew before, it melted some plastic that molded around the female connector on the 25A section for the heater that was irreparable. Disconnected everything and pulled the whole fuse block out. Upside down cracked it open and that one block was toast. By complete fluke the block in my dads XJ was an almost perfect fit. Few shaves from the xacto blade and in it popped.
Now our Chamonix has a fuse block from an XJ.
Looks like there are other bits from NA vehicles that can be friends with our JDM rigs on the electrical level.
No pics. It was dumping like crazy and I was soaked as the door needed to be open to get under the dash. Conquered the gremlin though so the sister is happy. Now she can drive.
Full day killed. I hate electrical gremlins. Now onto data recovery and Mac stuff.
