Sliding rear window – not needed, but what to do

Hi All,
I have a 93’ L300 and I am looking for suggestions for removal of my sliding rear window. I have put a posting in the “parts wanted section” for a straight trade for a non-slider, but given my location (Canada’s true North….Yukon), I do not think I will have any takers. So then I am left with this question… what to do. I was thinking of using fiberglass to “make” a dummy window I have used fiberglass before and know I could do this my only concern is really time. I have two other sliding rear windows so the third is just not needed and my van would function better (for my plans) if I did not have the other slider.
Additionally I have SO many other projects on the go for my van that I just want to make the process easy… any thoughts?

I have two of the flip out windows in my spares. I can source the hardware for em.

I need slider spares.

I do not understand, what are the flip out windows?
If they are what I need I would gladly trade.

There are three window styles: fixed, slider and pop-out/hinged.

The pop-out/hinged style are a solid window, much akin to what you see on domestic minivans. Fixed are the same kind of mounting as the windscreen and rear hatch glass. You are familiar with sliders I gather.

I could use a spare slider frame and hardware for spares on my L300. I have two sizes of the hinged windows on hand, and I know where to get some additional hardware for them.

Thanks RichD,

I never knew there were pop outs made, but I really want a fixed window for the rear, I'll keep looking.

contact one of the vendors. They all have L300 spare parts vehicles and will most likely have solid glass and rubber to ship up to you. Easy install with soap and a rope.
