Trying to source a cheap price on a Fram PH9055 oil filter for my delica, I found a couple of good cross reference lists. It seems you could find some of these filters at Heavy Duty truck/tractor places or even hydraulic shops. For all you out in oil/farm land you should have lots of places to look at. Hope this helps people find oil filters when they need them.

Yes it does. I just took one out and replaced with a shorter Donaldson P502008. I think that one is meant for the L300. The L400's have a long filter on them. I think a Baldwin B7121 would be a good one to try and find. I have a feeling most of these filters are around $20 cheaper in the US. Unless you have a connection at a Heavy Duty place. I have a cousin who is a shop foreman out in the oil patch. I'll have to contact him and see what I other options I can dig up?

I made a contact at filterdistribution.com about getting Sure Filter oil filters (SFO-8532, bigger filters that Mardy uses) sent up from the states. Here is the conversation with Dave and info:
Craig,
I would be more than happy to assist you. As long as the main warehouse in California has them in stock I may be able to have them shipped directly to you. (they may not want to do the international paperwork?
Before I call the owner please tell me how many you are looking for. This allows me to accurate pricing from him -he does not have standard prices.
Also I want to point out that the company that makes the Sure Filters also manufactures the Donaldson Indonesian filters. This would likely be an identical filter.

Your cost on the Donaldson filter would be $14.78 per filter.

Craig,
Contacted Sure filter. They have these in stock. Your cost for the filters is $11.05 each. It is hard for me to determine the shipping costs as I do not have the items in front of me, don't have your complete address etc. I was told by Sure that would drop ship them t-o you from California USPS International. I would only charge you for freight what USPS charges me/them. I would image $30 but not to sure as I do not ship much internationally.
Let me know if you are interested. I can invoice you through Paypal or Google Checkout.

Dave

Craig,
I was close but under estimated shipping. From the USPS website it looks like shipping would be $37.

Click the USPS Priority link on the bottom. Obviously you would be responsible for any import/duties taxes.
4-SFO8532=11.05 each
Shipping $37.
$81.20.
Let me know and I will send you a formal invoice and send request for PayPal payment.
Regards,
Dave

This is what I am going to do next time I need some. I chose not to go with the Donaldsons as they seem to be the small ones. I want the big ol white ones like I have had on there since ownership from Amazing Auto. I think it would be OK to get in touch with him, just tell him Craig sent ya! Just kidding, don't do that he won't know me from a hole in the ground and I will feel like an ass. Hope this helps all you L400 drivers out there.
Craig

So... $1.21 then?
As of Feb 23, the up to date Fuso part number is FUS-ME013343. List: $21.21, out the door: $24.76.
Don't know if the distribution is different in the west, but if you guys are paying more than $40 a filter, I'll happily buy a case and ship individual units.

Well I guess that goes for the Fram filters only. I paid around $50 for one.

Mechanic swore by it. I was just looking at options other than the Chinese/Korean knock-off filters. I know they all work but I was looking for the best filter at the best price. I've just switch to Synthetic oil and want to run the oil longer than conventional oil between oil changes. On average filters cost between $25- $30 around here. I'll have to check on that price at the Fuso dealers out here. Thanks for the tip.

I have been using liber finer filters since 2009 on our l400. I get them at CBS parts (heavy duty parts store). Filters aren't made for a specific engine, the engine manufacturer usually pics a filter assembly to be incorporated into there engines.

P S...fram filters are extremely cheaply made, take on apart and you'll see its all paper inside. With really light duty framing.
