exhaust question

I'm going to replace the exhaust on my 94 Paj this spring to help with towing to a 2.5", Right now the tail pipe has a turn down right at the back to the paj. The one thing I did not like was that last summer the trailer was covered with soot at the end of our trip. Would having it go out the side help with the soot issue?

Any Ideas

Joe

You'd still have soot build up up the side and the rear tire, moreso just on the rear tire just like on an L300 side exhaust.

Yeha Its more the trailer side that was a nice shade of grey after a long trip..... :? thats what I would like to avoid if possible, I guess what way would throw the soot further away from the trailer?

adjust the fuel/air mixture. there shouldn't be a lot of soot sticking on the truck. If there is, you're blowing too much smoke (pardon the pun) :-D

on a side exhaust, I just had soot mainly on the rear tire (exhaust tip came out just before the rear wheel about 1/3 from the bottom)
