battery replacement?

It looks like my dual batteries need to be replaced on my 1995 L400 and I've been looking around the site for a guide or information on how to do this, but haven't been able to find much other than the recommendations on Oddysey batteries. Are there any pictorial guides or step-by-steps that haven't been able to locate? Thanks.

the batteries are wired in parallel (12V) so you can remove / install them just as you would a single battery in a standard 12V vehicle.

remove the negative and positive terminals on both batteries
undo the bracket that holds the batteries down
remove the old batteries
install the new batteries
replace the bracket that holds the batteries down
replace the negative and positive terminals on both batteries

Always remove negative terminal first and put negative terminal on last

or to cover off our brits out there........ remove chassis side first (be it negative or positive is irrelevant), quoted statement is correct, just a broader statement to cover off other potential scenarios

Does the intercooler have to come off to replace the batteries? I can't seem to be able to make space to get the new ones in there.

Just undo the 4 bolts and slide it over to the side, that will make enough clearance.
