banging sound

After changing the shocks and bearings I still have a cracking/banging sound coming from the rear suspension area when turning left slowly and going over bumps. I should also mention that after driving over train tracks, I always feel I should be checking my rearview to see if I've left the back end of the pajero strewn down the street it bangs around so loudly (might not be related)?!?!

It was suggested that it was probably structural (broken weld on chassis maybe) rather than mechanical but I wonder if anyone has had any similar issues and what they did to mitigate the problem. Or maybe any suggestions as to a possible course of action as my wife and I are having a baby and it feels a bit unsafe -I drove into a deep hole on the rear driver's side, super slow and it the bang that came from back there was crazy loud?! Can't be good.

Any ideas?

have you taken it to a shop and looked at it from underneath on a hoist?

budget brake and places like that should be able to find the source with no or little cost involved.
