Japanese Auction Sites?

Not thinking of getting a new vehicle just yet, but its always fun looking around! Can't resist dreaming....

I'm just curious what websites are good for cruising vehicles on auction in Japan? Or is this information not that easy to come across unless you're an importer?

I've looked around on www.japaneseusedcars.com and this seems to have a fair amount of vehicles, but is there better/more sites to look? I've seen a few places that make you "sign up" before you can look at cars.

Suggestions??

I cannot recommend this guy enough. Derek Weldon at pacificcoastjdm . He is a fellow canadian living in Japan as a honest exporter.

He is extremely thorough and goes above and beyond what other exporters do in terms of communicating the tiniest detail to you.

shoot them an email, you get a login and can view the auction houses.

Oh, awesome! I didn't know you could do that without having to pay their "deposit" fee. If and when I get my next vehicle I'd probably import through them anyways. Good to know, I'll shoot them an email, cheers!

I think everyone in the industry has a auction site set up for their clients to browse available vehicles. Usually it's free for any potential buyers. If people charge just to browse, that would surprise me

Feel free to use mine here http://auc.jdmconnection.ca/ if you like. It's a free 30 second registration just like making a forum account http://auc.jdmconnection.ca/register

Hi Shealy.

If you have no luck with the above.

We have the full auction system on line which you can find here.

You will need to register to gain access to the auctions as well as other interesting stuff like model spec's, chassis number build date decoding etc. You do not need to pay to access the site and you do not need to pay a deposit (99.9% of agents will want a deposit) if you want me to bid on any L400's with my guidance that are coming up for auction. However, if the vehicle you are wanting is high km's, low grade condition, accident/repaired or the colour you want is pink with purple poker dots, you will need to pay me a deposit beforehand because I do not want the vehicle for stock "if" you get hit by a bus the day after I buy it for you.

As you may know, every agent in Japan has an agents fee and these fees will vary depending on the agent including what service you get for your agents fee. Details of our agents fee can be found here.

Also, I can help you with the importation of your vehicle with things such as who to use for your transfer (payment) and customs clearance once the vehicle arrives in Canada, importing is simple, it is not what you know it is who you know.

Finally, the icing on the cake, with every L400 we buy and export for customers, we supply LHD approved headlight lenses free of charge.

Any questions, drop me an email, you will find my email address on our website.

Regards

Mark.
