HOW TO: Ignition Switch Halo Light

Post by Big-Bird »

Start with the removal of 5 Philips head screws (star) that hold the steering column plastic together.

Using a flat blade screwdriver gently push the tabs located at the 9:00 and 3:00 o-clock positions, turn the steering wheel and you will see the tabs.

Separate the shroud and set the parts aside (Clean them if you are so inclined).

Turn the clear plastic ring counter clockwise a few degrees.

This will release the lock tab at the bottom of the ring.

Pull the clear plastic assembly out gently as the wires may be tangled or stiff. The yellow wires are not very long either.

Turn the socket 1/8 turn to release it from the housing. Pull the bulb. The blue silicone bulb cover can be reused, just roll it off the old bulb.

Installation is the reverse of the removal.
