Shovel mounting brackets?

I'm trying to find the best way of mounting a shovel to my basket. I have zap-straps and hardware for mounting 1-1/4" PVC pipe to siding. Any better suggestions or better yet a product made specifically for this!?

Those look great for holding onto the shovel, I can't figure out how they would mount to my basket though. Maybe if there's something like this out there with a mounting base attached to it!?

I ordered the Mounting Kit which gives you a number of styles - some for shovels. The shovel ones can be mounted with a bolt through a hole in the unit or you can use a radiator clamp around the slot in the bottom. I intend to use 4 of them to clamp some oars. If that doesn't work the big ones should be able to clamp 2 oars for sure. Their kit is a great price and I'm sure you could find a use for them all.

Looking good! How long did they take to ship?

They were shipped USPS and I think took a couple weeks. Arrived in the mail - no duty or extra taxes.

I'll look into it but I'm really hoping not to have to deal with shipping in the month before I leave. Ghetto solutions are welcome in this instance...

You may want to try Iron Goat in Chilliwack.

I have no idea what stock they have but if they do have stock shipping should be quick.

At the moment I'm attempting a DIY option using muffler clamps and/or oar locks. I'll post pictures if it works. In regards to using rubber, is anyone else scared that it may fail? It would be disastrous if my shovel were to fall onto my cl roof.
Ps. Rack Attack sells something called a multi-mount. Has anyone used this before?

Iron goat should have them also Nsor may also have them.
in regards to using rubber, these have been around for a long time and a lot of folks in the off road community all over north america use them. tried and tested. i am sure they can fail as with anything, but they are very strong and will hold up to a shovel no problem.

I think Stevensons Marine and West Marine also carry them.

I've also been informed that
there are a whole bunch of options in the quad isle at Canadian Tire for attaching them to the racks on quads
