Body mount bushings to Poly?

Has anyone out there replaced their body mount bushings to polyurathane? I have ordered a set and the sit at a slightly lesser diameter in the cup then the old rubber ones. I have been assured that this is ok because the tensile strength of poly is much greater than rubber and you wouldn't even need cups because the weight of the body, then tension on the bolt is more than enough holding force. Just want to hear it from someone who has done this and can say they have had no problems.

I've been using poly blocks. No issues after years of offroad abuse.

This was a 2" body lift.

Good to know. I just did a 1" body lift but kept the old bushings. I will change them to poly. How did you solve the issue with the back bumper and hitch cut out? I can raise the back bumper but the bottom part of the chrome is in the way.... :S

One more question.. other than getting angry and cutting something is there a tip you can give me for easily removing the front body mount bolts from within their little holes under the hood beside the rad? I cant seem to get that hook head shaped bolt out of the hole.. maybe my hands are too big but its driving me crazy not being able to slide the new puck in the front support and I am getting nervous having the front end unsupported.

Thanks!
