Are there any North American Brake Parts that can be used on the L400?
Also anyone know a Delica Mechanic in Nelson, BC?

Everything but the front rotors are equivalent to the 3.5l v6 montero. Front rotors are L400 only.

Check around in here (the forum) - I was interested in the past and found lots of good info.

I found a guy out in Castlegar that works on Delica's (Kootenay Euro Shop) going to have him have a look Friday.

The Montero (95 or 94) has two different calipers on the front brakes based on the model/engine.
LS Model=3.0L and SR Model=3.5L
I've read to use either model to cross reference in various threads. The front and rear pads, rear calipers and rotors are the same on these models. In my search I've found they have different calipers. Can anyone confirm which is the "proper" model to cross-reference too.

Lee, I have tried searching around the RockAuto site and I can't seem to find a listing for the 2.8L Diesel engine on any of the Delica or Space gear listings. Am I missing something?

No possibly not. It doesn only seem to list the 2.5L but for brake parts does it matter? Check the measurements. They may be the same. Or try 2.8L Pajero. Just leading you to the site realy, if you have had a gander then I don't know what to say.

Ah yeah I guess for brake parts it wouldn't matter. I have been trying to find NGK's on that site for a while though. Prices seem pretty good, but Fishtank ordered some plugs from there a while ago and had to pay duty on them. Don't forget.

For matching the front calipers and pads its Montero Sport V6 3L any year will do, even 2000-2003. They used this running gear for years and years.

While L400 front rotors are the same diameter the hub is different (bigger). You need to source the rotors through an importer. I know for sure these three keep them in stock and the price is decent; pick one: CC Autos, Rising Sun, Maximum Overdrive. Also John at RMI almost certainly has them. I would recommend asking for a price for all the parts from the importers as they might make it worth single-sourcing the works.

As for rear I have not confirmed a fit but I'm told Montero Sport V6 3L fits. Note some L400s have drums not discs in back.

Sourcing:
The calipers are cheapest at NAPA. The pads are about the same at both Lordco and NAPA. Note that there is some variety of quality of brake pads, as well as different compounds. I've tried both ceramics and semi-metallic; overall I prefer ceramic. If you cross the border often go to NAPA US and save about 30% but it won't be in stock; you'll have to pre-order. Mail order is available as well, similar delays. Notably: the front calipers and pads are the same as the L300 dual piston upgrade. Also I believe these are a match for Pajero. BTW I'm talking rebuilt semi-loaded here; I do not know of anywhere you can buy "new" other than perhaps an importer; it will cost much more and really there is no point.

Also note that every supplier (including NAPA USA vs Canada) have different part numbers. I've tried several "brands" of rebuilt calipers and they are all identical, so price matters. I have had one bad unit in about 5 pairs and it was from the more expensive supplier. They replaced it with free delivery.

Still check your facts from multiple sources. Jesse is a close personal friend and I know for a fact that he admits to several mistakes on the forum that have been quoted all over the place and he hasn't the time or inclination to chase down and correct. Stupid things usually, not the big strokes. I can't count the number of times that I've googled something, got this forum in the first page of results, found a whole bunch of posts saying its this and so I buy it but its not this its that and I have to go back and get the right thing. By the time I have wasted that time I am not thinking about correcting the forum. In fact usually I'm an idiot and don't write it down for next time.

Montero Sport V6 3L. The sport part made a difference in lookups at a couple of places.
