"Bouquet" for Coombs Country Auto

Post by mararmeisto »

Although I'm not sure Glen and the boys would accept flowers, I would like to express my gratitude and extend compliments to the crew at Coombs for their, once more, stellar work.

Over the past six years, Lucienne and I have bought three JDM vehicles - a Delica from Five Star, a Pajero from Tyee, and another Pajero through private sale - and we've had them all serviced/maintained/repaired at Glen's garage.

Not only is the maintenance thorough and insightful, the team of mechanics (Glen included if you can keep from asking him questions which will get him side-tracked which means he's not working on your vehicle) is very knowledgable and experienced. They like the Mitsubishis, and know what to look for when the customer tries to describe the "problem" through an interpretive dance of a hand flourishes and noise approximations of clicks and whistles and whirrings.

Our recent service experience with our latest new-to-us vehicle included a head replacement and the welcome-to-the-continent-once-all-over-check-and-replace, but it was worth it: the head had cracked because the radiator was clogged and the belts were all crap.

Pricing is fair, and Glen makes the extra effort so the customer gets the repairs they ask for: he's researched many different suppliers of parts and put together his own particular list of OEM and reputable after-market brand replacements. He puts what he knows, and what he knows will work, into your vehicle. And while the reality is that some parts are just simply expensive, the invoice is always reasonable.

So, although I said this to you in person when I picked up Mojo from your garage today, thank you Glen, for all you've done. Please thank the others in your team as well, because they all deserve it as well.

Heh, there's a reason why CCA is known as "Delica Mecca"! :-D

And as an added bonus, the drive up island is lovely!

My next import will be done through CCA from start to finish!

I just had my bus in to CCA for a regular service. They've done all the major and lots of the minor work on it since I got it 4 1/2 years ago. Top shelf service and workmanship. I'm heaps happy knowing they've got my back. :-D

Well said Paul! I'm new to the world of delica and I'm so thankful CCA was suggested to me. They went the extra, extra mile to work with my mechanic here in Red Deer with advice etc. They even tossed in a few gifts when they sent me my motor!

Cheers!
