Pls someone correct me if wrong - but I thought the Deli tranny has screen (s) that just need cleaning at time of fluid change, no filter......well, that what my mechanic told me. He also used a tranny pan sealant instead of a gasket - seems to work well so far and know that sealant was common on some Ford cars.

Yeah thats what i was thinking as well, cause when i bought my fuel, air and oil filter i asked if there was a tranny one and they didnt answer so i figured it was a screan of some sort. Then just yesterday i got my deli back form the shop (from the wheel thing i had earlier) and they had done a full fluid change as well, but they told me to pick up a tranny filter cause they didnt have the part number?

I think I saw a post by Mardy about the screens being able to be cleaned, but recommending replacement if your tranny fluid appears dirty, or burned, smelly - that kind of thing. If the tranny fluid is still that nice pinky colour without a burned smell, then all should be well. Maybe best PM Mardy about it if nobody else has a more "informed" opinion.
