New Day = New Issue : Rear Climate Control Motor

Fix one thing and not even a day can go by before something else goes wonky...

Now I am getting a clicking sound coming from midship driver side. Based on some deduction on the various Delica websites around the world I am assuming it is one of the 2 rear climate control vent control motors with a stripped gear. What is the part number of these?

Part Numbers for future reference to any other who may have this issue:

MR233134

The two units are identical so can be swapped for each other. Anyway this lets you simply use your working motor to control the temperature and just leave the busted one in the vent position and disconnected (ref=DelicaClub and RSI)...thus rear vent position locked either up or down but still have functioning climate which is the more important of the two...and cost is $0.

New replacement part sounds expensive (just like the one from the front climate control). Used from a wreck likely best option if replacement needed.

Hey I've got the same foul clicking , Next week I'll have some time for some exploring .
I'm always surprised what I've been able to fix on these rigs just by taking something apart an reassembling.
And sometimes I even have no parts leftover.
I'll leave a photo trail when I do it.
If you find the actual clicking thingy please post a pic.

Cheers

Lol I assumed you must be joking around but I was scratching my head a bit.

People were going nuts on one of my posts yesterday?? Was it the Santa comment in the Glow Plug thread? I noticed that was deleted when I looked back in that thread after work but didn't know it caused an issue. Did people take it seriously somehow? Man people should know by now my posts are almost always for laughs and should take them as such. Wish I didn't miss the fun!! :-D

At lunch I had a bit of time and started up the van and sat in the second row and while I haven't actually opened the housing yet, I'm thinking the one that is clicking on my van is the one that controls the temperature. Looks like I had rear control activated and either one of the dogs or my son or a combo of both somehow had the rear AC turned on and set at 15oC (min) meanwhile the front was set to heat to 27oC! Pretty sure that can't be great on the system. When I turned the rear AC off and slid the temp to 30oC (max) the clicking went away. Hopefully it stays away...and the rear gets heat...then I can just ignore it :-D .

Here is a link to the Delica Club post where someone had the same problem:

I had the same noise. Spent an hour under the van, dismantled the unit into several pieces, put it back together as best I could figure, and the thing worked. Been 6 months with no problems.
